Another Debate

Finally, our guy came through. Last night was completely different than the first debate. I thought President Bush did a great job. He seemed very comfortable in this setting. Kerry was again poised and was a good debater, but he just doesn't have any gumption. He seems spineless and weak, despite all his tough talk. And how can both of them act so nice to each other before and after the debates, and then go at each other like sworn enemies during the debate and on the campaign trail? Are they both suck ups or what?

I figured something out last night. I was thinking about Iraq and Saddam Hussein, since this report has come out about no WMD. This is what I think. When we were in the first gulf war under the other President Bush, most everybody in our country was behind this. And all of us wanted Saddam Hussein dead. Well, that didn't happen. And all this time I think a lot of us have just been waiting to get him. So, when we went back to war this time, we were for it, just to get Saddam. So, now we have him. So for a lot of us we could care less about whether they find any WMD - we got Saddam. And all this other stuff that has come out about the billions of dollars he stole from the Oil for Food program, and paying off the French, Germans, and Russians, and all the mass killings he did, and just his evilness in general, this is just proof that we did a good thing. As President Bush says, the world is a much safer place without Saddam. So, to me, and a lot of other people, that is reason enough. They didn't need to find any WMD. I think we did the right thing by going to war anyway. I just wish the Iraqis would get stronger faster and start taking care of their own problems so our troops can come home.
