How Cool Is This Show?

My new favorite TV show is New Amsterdam. If you haven't seen it you should. You can probably start from the beginning and watch episodes on the computer. It would be well worth your time. The premise is this guy (John Amsterdam) who was living in the 1600's. He saved the life of an Indian woman, and she placed a spell/curse on him that he would live until he found his soul mate. So he is living in New York (which used to be called New Amsterdam) and is working as a detective. On each episode there will be a flashback of things he did maybe a couple hundred years ago. He has been married many times and has had a bunch of children. It is just a really interesting show with great writing.

megan loves this show. i don't like it much. i prefer a new comedy called miss guided about a high school guidance counselor. chris parnell is hilarious as the vice principal.

"even old new york was once new amsterdam
why they changed it i can't say,
people just liked it better that way."

anyone who's listened to a little they might be giants know that.

This sounds like an episode of the Simpson's I once saw. Homer saved this old Indian woman from an attack of three-eyed carp at Lake Springfield and Moe fell in love with Ned Flanders and Santa's Little Helper fell in love with Apu's leg. Remember that one?
